Janica Kostelic of Croatia won a World bowl slalom north of the Arctic Circle in Levi, Finland, finishing ahead of Olympic champion Anja Paerson of Sweden to terminate in on the overall title.

Racing upon an illuminated course in driving snow, Kostelic skied couple nearly flawless runs for her seventh victory this season. She had a combined time of 1 minute, 3752 next to the firsts with Kathrin Zettel of Austria third and Lindsey Kildow of the United States fourth.

Kostelic increased her lead in the overall standings through Paerson, the two-time defending champion. Five races remain, with Kostelic leading Paerson 1640 points to 1366
